Legends Baseball Summer Update - 6/11/23 - 6/13/23

Legends Baseball extended its winning streak to 3 on Tuesday, June 12 winning a closely contested game at Walsh Field in Union, NJ against the Gamers by a score of 8-5. Their record now stands at 6-2 currently in second place. Joey DiQuillo - Scotch Plains, NJ (Stockton) went 6 innings of 3 hit ball and 6K's to earn the win. He lowered his summer season ERA to 1.64. Mathew L'Hommedieu - Dumont, NJ (Rutgers Newark) worked 3 frames to earn the save. Gil Prial - Caldwell, NJ (Newark Rutgers) delivered a 3-run homerun in the top of the 9th inning with the game tied at 5 to give Legends a 3-run lead to nail down the win. Sunday, June 11th doubleheader wins, Legends sweep the Essex Cubs 12-2 and 11-4, were highlighted by another home run. This time by Ian Kaiser - Montville, NJ (Binghamton), who hit a 3-run shot for his first of the young season. Next up is last year's champion and current undefeated and first place Monsoons in Bayonne, NJ. LGL
